Shirley Faye Masingale Gibson

Shirley F. Masingale Gibson, 78, departed this earth for her heavenly home, surrounded by loved ones who will miss her so much. Anticipating her arrival was her husband of 54 years Robert G. Gibson of whom she married at 17 years old.
Shirly was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Austin and Allie Mae Ledford Masingale. She Worked at American Uniform for a bit, then became a stay-at-home mom which was her greatest accomplishment. She later opened Buttons and Bows Daycare and helped her husband at Gibson Auto Sales a business they had ran for years.
Along with her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert G. Gibson; and her siblings, Dillard, Leona, Johnnie, Fleta, Gene, Jewel, Wayne, Cecil, and Juanita.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Greg (Lisa) Gibson, Debby (Bobby) Crumbley, Angie (Tommy) Cate, Brian (Dana) Gibson, and Tim (Alicia) Gibson; grandchildren, Jennifer and Josh Hall, Dustin Crumbley, Lauren and Scott Standifer, Sara and Jason McIntyre, Drew and Amber Cate, Brice Gibson, Kolten Gibson, Kyndall Gibson, Devin and Lex Gibson, Cheyenne Gibson, and Amy and Alex Johnson; great grandchildren, Nora and Ezra Hall, Silas and Livi Standifer, Jax Gibson, Valynn Gibson, Ezimea Couey, two special great grand babies in Heaven; her brother, Bobby Masingale; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Shirley loved her Awana Sparky Class of which she was faithful to do for 18 years. She also loved her Sunday School class that she taught. Shirley loved the Lord, and her family so much and always had a servant’s heart. She is now resting with Jesus in his arms.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service is to follow at 7:00 pm.
A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Tennessee at 12:00 pm.
