Sheila Lynn Stroope Mitchell, 57, of Lilburn, GA passed away on June 18, 2020. Sheila had many hobbies :Bees - her Grandfather, Father & brothers - beekeepers, Watching documentaries, Tennis, Renovation projects, Her Children’s sporting events, Margo’s drama class productions, Travel, Rock climbing, Hiking/national parks, Water sports, Spending with family & friends, Inn KaHootS Cabin, Loved to work & was a passionate worker, Going to The Big Gully. Sheila also had many memorable Characteristics: Loving, selfless, fearless, kind, understanding, sympathetic, humble, generous, beautiful, friendly, hardworking, sweet soul, calm, gifted, supportive, solid, resourceful, connector, athlete, volunteer, patience. Her education and employment background were as follows: Caddo Mills, Texas - 1st thru 12th - Class of 1980 Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska 1980-1983 University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska - Class of 1984 Present employment, Total Wine & Best Buy - 2005-2020. BusyBee🐝 & Home Depot - 1998-2005. She was born on August 5, 1962. She is preceded in death by her father Bobby Joe Stroope, brother Bret Allen Stroope, stepfather Walter Andrew Drexel, grandparents Bill & Frances Hollstein and Garland & Annie Stroope.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Connie Hollstein, daughter Melissa Mitchell, son Charles Mitchell, daughter Morgan Mitchell sister Cheryl Behrmann (Jim), Brother David Stroope (Lynelle), partner Hallie Ward Edwards; grandchildren: Margo Kelso and Gavin Mitchell/Bass; nephews and nieces: Beth and James Armstrong, Brooke Stroope, Frances & Curtis Fuhr, Emily & John Morvant, Claire & Thomas Gilman, James Behrmann, Weston Stroope, Ashton Stroope, and numerous Family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the following places: Habitat for Humanity, National Park Foundation, LifeLink Legacy Fund, HoneyBee Conservancy, PFLAG, or Front Runners of Atlanta.
There will be no public services at this time.
