Sharron Kathleen Haynes

Sharron Kathleen Haynes, 72, went home to be with her Lord after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019. She was born in St. Louis, MO. A city girl at heart, she moved to the South with her husband and children and made the country her home in 1974. She was a devoted wife of 52 years, loving mother, and an indulgent grandmother. A life-long teacher, she made an impact on thousands of young lives at Ringgold Elementary and Middle Schools, as well as Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools in Apison, Ooltewah, Acworth, and finally Spring City. Sharron made friends easily, loved singing in the church choir, and even dabbled in community theater. She also enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and to exotic locations like Singapore and New Zealand. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Audrey Johnson; and sister, Betty McCool. Survivors include her husband, W. Lynn Haynes; daughter, Suzanne Haynes; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Sonja Haynes; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Ansley and Zach Zora; and grandson, J. Britton Haynes, Jr.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019 at Spring City United Methodist Church, 245 Church St, Spring City, TN 37381. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:30 pm before the ceremony begins at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or The Care Center (www.thecarecentertn.org).
Sharron will be missed in this life, but is now in the company of our Savior and will live on in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.
