Sharon Lynn Dorsey

Sharon Lynn Dorsey, 57, a resident of Niota, TN passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Sweetwater hospital. She was born in Athens, TN on June 18, 1962 and was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. Sharon loved cats and spending time with her family. She worked as an LPN at Grace Healthcare for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father Donald Shepherd.
Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Amanda Long and her husband Billy, mother Katie Shepherd, three grandchildren Billy Joe Long, Destin Long and Kayleigh Boyd, one brother Mitchell Shepherd, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, January 27, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.
