Obituary

Seph Scott, 77, a resident of Georgetown, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on Friday June 5th, 2015. Seph was born on March 3rd, 1938 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Joe Sephus and Ivory Scott. He had lived in Georgetown for the past 4 years, but lived in Griffin, Georgia for 31 years prior. Seph retired from Georgia Tech after 17 years of service with the Civil Engineering Department where received many achievements as a machinist.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of whom he was married 33 years, Donna Rae Scott.

Mr. Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Joe (Sharion) Scott- SC, Steven Scott- Georgetown, TN, Lynda (Larry) Smith- Ooltewah, TN, Beverly (Clint) Harrison- Georgetown, TN, and Susan Scott- Georgetown, TN; brother, Jamie (Denine) Scott- Fairfax, VA; sisters, Betty Williams- New Miami, OH, Sharon Campbell- Hebron, KY, and Linda (Bill) Ramsey- Griffin, GA, as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for 4:00pm on Tuesday June 9, 2015 in the Ringgold Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeff Labrie, Jason Ramsey, Cody Jenkins, Clint Harrison, Scott Smith, and Jessie Harrison will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Ringgold Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
