Sara "Juanita" Ippoliti

Sara “Juanita” Ippoliti, 95, longtime resident of Shelbyville, TN passed away on Thursday evening, August 8, 2019 at a healthcare facility in Rossville, GA. Juanita lived in Independence, Missouri for several years where she was involved in the building of The Truman Library. Upon returning to Shelbyville, she worked as a substitute teacher for the Bedford County School System. She lived her life to the fullest, loved being around friends and attending social functions. Above all else she loved her time living in Destin, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Ippoliti; parents Walter and Eva Thompson and brother Ernie Thompson.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Robert (Janet) Woods; daughters Carol (Roger) Irvin, Patti (Bob) Hash and Tracy (Gary) Sarver; sister Emogene Payne; eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many other family members.
The family will not be holding any public services at this time.
