Salvatore Dongelo

Obituary

Salvatore Dongelo Sr., 66, was a resident of Athens, TN and from Brooklyn, NY. He passed away on July 11th, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital. Mr. Dongelo was born on November 23rd, 1948 to the late Solomon and Sarah Dongelo also of Brooklyn, NY. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Dongelo loved cooking and building shadow boxes, and bird houses. He loved working with the neighborhood kids and would help them out in any way that he could.
Salvatore is preceded in death by his parents; Solomon Dongelo and the former Sarah Santora.
Salvatore leaves behind his two sons; Salvatore Dongelo Jr. and Michael Dongelo, three sisters; Mary Kay, Angelina Hutchison, Carol Choura, and Doris Case, and four grandchildren; Zachary, Jackson, Parker, and Dominic.
