Ruth Grace Massey

On Monday morning, April 23, 2018, Ruth Grace Massey passed away at the age of 80. She will be forever remembered by her husband Dale, her four children Steven Bartoo, James Bartoo, Thomas Bartoo and Jennifer King, her two step-children Michael Massey and Ann Humphries, and her 11 grandchildren as well as her four surviving brothers Ken Walker, Jerry Walker, Phil Walker and Hank Walker. She is preceded in death by her two brothers Don Walker and John Walker and her parents Henry and Grace Walker.
Ruth worked for more than 20 years as a kindergarten teacher for the Catoosa County, GA school system at Battlefield Elementary and Battlefield Primary.
Ruth’s family welcomes friends and acquaintances to a visitation on Friday, April 27 from 4 - 6 p.m. and a funeral service on Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. Both events will take place at the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Chattanooga Heart Institute at CHI Memorial.
