Ruth Burnette

Ruth Lee Burnette, 93, of Ocoee, TN passed away on November 14, 2021. She was born on October 18, 1928 to the late Jess and Alice Randolph. Ruth was a gifted seamstress and she loved working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed fishing, swimming, and being outside. Those who knew Ruth, know that she kept a very clean house and loved her furry friends Pugsy and Tiffy. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with them-espeically her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Burnette; daughter Judy Nesbitt; brothers Bob Randolph and Don Randolph.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Joyce Filyaw (Alan), Leon Ledford (Kim), Bobby Ledford (Angie); brother Jerry Botsford; sisters Ann Powers; sisters in law Mary Randolph and Shirley Randolph; stepchildren Milton Burnette (Marsha) and Pat Burnette); grandchildren: Beth, Russell, Lee, Lindsey, Jennifer, Kerri, Justin, Chris, and Jason. In addition to these she leaves behind eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 2pm on Friday November 19, 2021 at Cookson Creek Baptist Church with visitation prior from 11am until the 2pm service. She will be laid to rest following the service at the Cookson Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cookson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
