Russell Gordon Carpenter

Russell Gordon Carpenter, 63, of Tiftonia, TN passed away peacefully on January 28, 2020. Russell was happiest when fishing, especially with his grandsons. He had an excellent sense of humor and left all who knew him with many great memories. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Gordon Carpenter, and his daughter, Leslie Carpenter Rice. He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Carpenter; three siblings Harold Lee “Woody” Carpenter, Letha Carpenter Carruth and Lorna Carpenter Lewis; life partner Rita Rutherford; two daughters Amy Kay Carpenter and Jennifer Leagh Carpenter; nine grandsons; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date to be determined.
