Ronnie Lee Barger

Ronnie Lee (Red) Barger, 65, born July 4, 1956, went to meet his heavenly father on October 30, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He passed away at Memorial Hospital after battling throat cancer and anxiety. His battle started in 1999 and continued until he was too weak and too tired to keep fighting.

He was preceded in death by his father Perry Barger, his mother Leona (Davis) Barger of Graysville, his two brothers, Tony Barger of Graysville and Charles Barger of Pikeville, and his infant sister.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Connie (Moore) Barger; his two daughters: Angela (Bobby) Trusley and Jennifer (Emmitt Scates) Mize; his three grandkids: Preston Mize, Destiny Mize, and Makayla Trusley; his adopted grandson, Wesley Scates; the love of his life, his pug Ginger Lou; his two brothers: Randel Barger of Soddy Daisy and Scottie Sneed of Graysville; his sister, Sheila Barger of Graysville; several nieces and nephews; and his two good friends, Kenny Powell and Henry Post.

There will be no memorial services.
