Ronald Ray Sharpe, 62, died on March 10, 2020 at his home in his recliner. It was the spot you could always find him. Whether it was playing online poker, scrolling through Netflix, or taking a nap; that chair was his spot. Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, he was a graduate of Cleveland High School. He was a welder by trade for the majority of his life. He loved the craft and talked about it often. He was a proud man and a kind man, but only if he thought you deserved his kindness. He joins his daughter, Meghan Rae Sharpe, brother Edward Gerald Sharpe, and father Gerald Samuel Sharpe on the other side. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Shannen Sharpe French, who loved him more than words can describe. His mother, Leah Marie Sharpe, now mourns the loss of her youngest son of four. Also, still on this earth: brothers Gerald James (Terry) Sharpe and Brian Dale (Naomi) Sharpe, and countless other family members. Ron was a man who you either loved or hated. There was no in between with him. But when he loved and you were on the receiving end of his love, you were lucky. Certainly, lucky enough to know the stubborn, smart, and funny man he was. A visitation will take place Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. all at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you make a donation to the American Heart Association in Ron’s name.
