Ronald Lee Galyon

Ronald Lee Galyon, affectionately known as Ronny, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023, in his hometown of Athens, Tennessee. Born on May 7, 1968, to the late Ernest Boyd Galyon and Vesta Marie Knox Galyon, Ronny was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ronny is survived by his daughter, Kairee Brianne Galyon; his siblings, Donna Marie Barnes, Sherry (Joe) Hixon, Scott (Lynn) Galyon, and Heather (Bryan) Lamb; his grandchildren, Ivy Cansler, Greyson Galyon, Jude Galyon, and Noah King; his beloved best friend, Beverly Bell; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vesta Galyon; his brother, James Allen Galyon; and his son, Nicholas Lee Galyon.

A man of many talents, Ronny was an accomplished guitarist who enjoyed playing for his family and friends. His love for music was only surpassed by his love for the great outdoors. Whether he was hiking, camping, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Ronny was in his element when surrounded by the natural world. He was also a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Reverend Nolan Phillips officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm prior to the service.
