Rodney Baine Harrison

On January 18, 2019, our Savior (the greatest dispatcher) dispatched Rodney Baine Harrison, 62, on a trip with some miles. Rodney accepted years awaiting. He packed his bags out of Cleveland, TN picked up at Tennova and started final destination to heaven.
He considered himself to be a “Product Relocation Redistribution Engineer.” His goal was to see all 48 states Our Lord Savior in his own time and way made it possible. Over his lifetime beginning at an early age, he was helpful and generous to others. An amazing storyteller who always had stories and jokes available. His amazing God given talents landed him on an advertisement role broadcasted on XM Radio. He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, TN, graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He enjoyed being a trainer and loved teaching and helping others find their way.
He is preceded in death by his father Oscar Silas Harrison, Jr. and his father-in-law James Kennedy; step brothers and sisters: Leamon Kennedy and Joyce Kennedy, Lowell Kennedy, Elmer Kennedy and Joyce Kennedy, Glenn Kennedy.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory his wife Betty A Harrison; children: son Daniel Harrison, stepson Timothy Rutherford; foster parents, Richard and Thelma Tyndall; brothers, Michael Tyndall; sisters, Sandra Tyndall Holland, Sharon Headley and brother in law Dan Headly; mother in law Aileen Kennedy “Mamaw.” Step brothers and sisters: George Kennedy and Debbie Kennedy, Walter Kennedy, Zelma Kennedy, Buzz Cornett, and Glenna Cornett. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. Our Savior blessed him. The family would also like to give special thanks to Betty’s family and friends, Amazon coworkers (CHA 2), the Caring Place and Tennova Healthcare for their heartfelt support and care.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Thursday January 24, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 12:00. Interment will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors at 1:30pm.
