Robert "Larry" Harris

Larry Harris, 69, of Ooltewah passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Ooltewah who loved fishing and Atlanta Braves Baseball. Larry was a very gifted musician and singer and played in the Rust Bucket Band and with the Freedom Gospel Group. He was a member of Calvary Life Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bessie Harris; a sister, Faye Jackson; and brothers, Jorge, Jimmy, Doyle, and Gene Harris.
Survivors include his caring wife of 42 years, Diane Harris; a daughter, Angela Viles (David); a brother, Ronald Harris (Eva); a granddaughter, Maddie May Bradshaw; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 6pm, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at The Lord’s House in Apison, TN with Pastor Donald Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
