Richard O. White

Richard O. White, Age 84 of Cleveland, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Chattanooga, TN. Mr.White was born, the sixth of nine children, in Orange Blossom Colony, California on November 12th 1934 to Ralph E. White Sr. and Richaline Hensley White.

Mr. White grew up in rural Oakdale, California and attended Oakdale Schools. He was a 1953 araduate of Oakdale Joint Union High School. Mr. White served four years active duty and four years inactive duty in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Hunt - Wesson Foods after 30 years, in 1991. After retirement Mr. White and his wife Dorothy moved to Tennessee that same year. In retirement, Mr. White kept busy boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and "Do it yourself" home projects.


Left behind to cherish his memory, is his loving wife Dorothy of over 38 years; and daughter Janet Conley. He was preceded in death by his son Richard,(Rick) White of California. Mr. White willed his remains to the Univ. of Tenn, Memphis Anatomy Bequest Program.
