Raymond Moore Eads

September 8, 1931 — July 25, 2019

Raymond Moore Eads aka “Cornfed”, 87 passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Raymond was born to the late Charles Jahew and Mary Moore Eads on September 8, 1931.
He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School which is where he actually received his nickname “Cornfed.” As a defenseman for the Bradley Bears, quarterbacks could not get past him and the coach stated “How can you get past that “Cornfed” lineman?” From that time, the name “Cornfed” stuck with him for the rest of his life. Raymond was an avid Tennessee Vol fan that had season tickets for more than 45 years. He bled orange and wore it daily. He retired from the State of Tennessee as a Food and Drug Inspector with over 50 years of service.
Raymond was a faithful attender of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church and was a devoted husband to his late wife, Louise Pulliam Eads, for over 41 years. He enjoyed traveling with his son, Michael overseas and throughout the US. He also loved a simple ride around town when Michael was in from California.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Louise, Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers; Lloyd Eads and Charles J. Eads, Jr. His brothers-in-law, Ronald Pulliam, Ralph Pulliam, and J.T. Williams.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son Michael Eads and fiancé Kristie Mourani, brother; John Eads and wife Faye, sister; Mildred Williams, and sister-in-law, Wanda Pulliam. Nieces and Nephews; Linda Mullins, Marilyn McConnell, Thomas Williams, Lee Eads, Deena Harris, Calvin Eads, Deborah McDonald, Keith Brock, Kelly Pulliam, Lacie Pulliam, Rhonda Griffin, Randy Pulliam, Patty Ingram, Katie Pulliam and a host of family and friends.
The Eads family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living for the special care that was given to Raymond and a special recognition to Brittany Jones who he trusted and loved for always going beyond the call of duty for him and the family.
