Phyllis Jean Black, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 14, 2022. She was born on September 1, 1938 to the late Louella and John Cross. Phyllis was very gifted with arts and crafts and she enjoyed cooking. She was a devoted woman of God and faithfully attended church.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her husband David Black; daughters: Kim German, Cindy Thomas, and Redonna Thomas; siblings: John Cross, Terry Cross, and Mary McCall.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter: Shelia Gray (Tina); granddaughters: Morgan Gray, Christy German, Emily German, Shelby Thomas, and Kalona Legler; great grandchildren: Thea, Avery, and Camden.
Phyllis’ family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Monday November 21, 2022 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 7pm. She will be laid to rest at 10am on Tuesday November 22nd at Fort Hill Veterans Cemetery.
