Phillip Layne Moore

Phillip Layne Moore, 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 5, 2019, in a Chattanooga health facility. He was born on January 24, 1954, in Harriman, TN, to CB and Ruth Moore. He spent nearly all of his life in Chattanooga. He was a Christian and of Methodist faith. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He loved his family very much as well as his dog Ruckus. Phillip was an avid woodworker and stargazer. He especially loved studying the comets in the heavens.

He was preceded in death by his father, CB Moore.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving devoted wife of 40 years, Sandy Moore; mother, Ruth Moore; and sons, Zack Moore and Chad Moore (Deanna); siblings, Patsy, Theresa, Conrad, Myki, and Jimmy; granddaughters, Ava and Olivia Moore whom he loved very much; and a host of family and friends.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
