Patrick Dean Caldwell was born in Seattle WN and grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. Pat and his wife Joyce were married 52 years last 4th of July. He worked as a remote sensing expert and geologist in which capacity he traveled a great deal. He lived in Alameda CA and was an avid baseball and ice hockey fan and went fly fishing whenever he could. The couple retired to Chattanooga. While often confined to home because of health issues, he became a prolific writer and self published many books. He was happiest observing and being outdoors and collecting his many rocks and fossils. He is survived by his wife Johanna Joyce Caldwell, daughter Julie Caldwell, sister Kelly Caldwell, brother Peter Caldwell and a number of nieces and nephews. Patrick wanted his cremation to be private.
