Patricia Ann Hysell

Patricia Ann Hysell, 80, of Athens passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at her home. Pat was born on April 4, 1942, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Edward Elliott and Margarette Morrow. She was a dedicated member of Sewee Church of God in Niota. Along with attending church Pat enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ed Morrow; stepmother, Maddie Elliott; her daughter, Shelia Stephens; and her step son, Brian Hysell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Clarence “Rick” Hysell; son, Edward Allen (Debra Baxter) Stephens; her step son, Justin Hysell; grandchildren, Keesha (Gene) Clotfelter, Summer Stephens, and Cody (Tia) Stephens; her great grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Chloe Jones, Ethan Jones, Zoe Clotfelter, Kylee Chadwick, and Memphis Stephens; her sister, Brenda (William) Ratledge; and her brother, Michael Hyde; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 6:00 pm with Pastor Linda Parton officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 11:00 am at McMinn Memorial Gardens in Athens, Tennessee. With Ethan Jones, Hunter Jones, Brandon Duttenhoffer, Tracey Elliott, Cody Stephens, Wade Elliott, Randy Evans, and Michael Hyde serving as pallbearers.
