Orson Dale Bell, Sr.

March 7, 1921 — March 20, 2020

Orson Dale Bell Sr. known as POP, born March 7, 1921, went home to be with Jesus very peacefully, March 20, 2020. He was born to Ira and Ocie Bell in Clarksburg, WV. He had one sibling, Ina Grace, who preceded him in death on February 5, 2012. He voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1939 where he served as a Machinist, First Mate, 1st Class, completing 165 beach landings on the LST 212. He was honorably discharged on December 7, 1945. Pop Loved his Country! Orson Sr was Married to Ms. Ethel Konz on December 28, 1946 who preceded him in death on July 21, 1985. He was employed as an accountant with General Motors for 30+ years until his retirement in 1981. Together, Orson and Ethel leave behind a legacy of 9 children; Charles (TobyAnn) (Maria Deceased) William (Connie), Robert (Karen), Barbara Vaughn (Dave), Virginia Chandler (Richard, Deceased), Linda Wilson (Edward), Orson Jr. (Belinda), Richard, and Edward (Bill). He was also dearly loved by his 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. ALL will miss his Stories and Humor. Pop resided with his Son Orson Bell Jr and Belinda, Crystal Bell for 27 years, The Memories are Endless. Pop will always be Etched in our Hearts!! Cathy Rayburn gave care for Pop for 11 years as her own father! We Personally Thank Hospice of Chattanooga, Cathy Sutch, Cherie Kerr, Shanda Dutton, for the Care they gave to our Pop. On Sunday May 22nd 2020 Pop will be celebrated. Doug Fultz will officiate this Life our Beloved Pop. Orson Sr. will be next to his Wife in Ohio.
