Nancy Sue Shuster

March 6, 1953 — March 18, 2023

Nancy Sue Shuster, 70, of Chatsworth, GA (born in Brooklyn, NY) passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 18th, 2023 at home with her son Jason Lee Shuster and his best friend and roommate Dianna Lynn Buck.

Dianna was not her daughter by blood but her daughter by choice and has known the Shuster family since 1997. Dianna also served as Nancy's guardian and conservator since May 03, 2022, shortly after she had a massive stroke on February 26th, 2022 in Alpharetta, GA.

Nancy enjoyed going to NY Mets games with her late husband Joe and her son Jason as well as spending quality time with them at home. She loved being a silk floral designer in the late 90's and a homemaker. Nancy had a huge heart and would help people in need through her 70 years on earth. She was one of the kindness women you could have ever had the pleasure of meeting. In spite of her own health issues, Nancy quit her job to take care of her parents & their affairs from 2006 until they passed away in 2012.

Nancy is preceded in death by her older brother Jay Hankin 12/30, 2009, Nephew Andrew Hankin 1/11/2011, Father Samuel Hankin 1/5/2012, Mother Lucille Bloom Hankin 12/10/2012 and her husband & the love of her life, Joseph Shuster.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Jason Lee Shuster and her guardian and daughter by choice, not by blood Dianna Lynn Buck, Dianna Lynn Buck's daughter's, Cassandra Ferland, Samantha Burgess, Katrina Alfonso & Angelica Dipietro. Her brother Robert Hankin (Laura), Jeff Hankin, nephew & son of Robert Hankin, Julie Hankin Vogel, niece & daughter of Robert Hankin, Sister in law, Michelle Graifer (widow of late brother Jay Hankin), Wendy Pilger Bredall (niece and step daughter of late brother Jay Hankin), Richard Hankin (nephew and son of late brother Jay Hankin), Joshua Hankin son of Richard Hankin and Ex-Sister in law Roberta Hankin (Ex wife of late brother Jay Hankin)

There will be no service as Nancy will be cremated and her ashes with be spread in the ocean in Florida on June 18th, 2023, along with her parents, Samuel & Lucille and her late husband Joe's..

In lieu of flowers or planting a tree, the family is requesting that any monies that would have been spent on that would be donated to The American Stroke Association at www.stroke.org to help find a cure some day, to help find better medications and/or therapies through research for families in the future and to spread awareness to prepare families with a loved one that suffers the fate of a stroke and the signs to look for. Nancy had a stroke a month or so before the massive one that went undetected because unfortunately her son didn't know the signs to look for and we'd like to prevent other families from going through the same harsh reality.
