Nancy Jones Lane

Nancy Jones Thomas Lane, 69, of Etowah, TN passed away on April 3, 2016 at Starr Regional Hospital. She was born on May 25, 1946 to the late George and Helen King Anderson. Nancy has been a resident of this area since 1971 after moving here from North Carolina. She was a member of Etowah Church of Christ. Nancy was a longtime employee of Coppinger Color Lab and CPQ and continued to work as a photo retoucher after her retirement. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles, woodworking, and cooking.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband of 20 years Kermit “Gene” Lane; three sons: Junious Jones (Amy), Lonnie Jones (Lisa), and Keith Jones (Angie); grandchildren: Casey Jones, Chandler Jones, Nicholas Poe-Jones, Haley Poe-Jones, Brittany Jones Millard, Kimberly Jones, Shonda Lawson, and Tyler Lawson; great granddaughters Morrison and Maddison; sister Janet Lewis; nephew Hayden Richardson (Renate); stepsons Kenny Lane and Johnny Lane; stepdaughter Sherrie Lane; 11 step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. In addition to these, she leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends. She also leaves behind two special caregivers Kristie and Jerry Spriggs.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at First United Methodist Church located at 3425 N Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37312. Interment will follow the service on Wednesday at Etowah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at First United Methodist on Tuesday April 5, 2016 and from 12:00pm until 1:00pm prior to the service on Wednesday.
