Mildred Rachel Pankey Mcalister

Mildred Rachel Pankey McAlister, 82, of Cleveland, TN departed this life on November 19, 2020. She was born in Benton on December 5, 1937 to the late Ernest and Reese Pankey. Mildred has lived in Bradley County the majority of her life. She was a member of Chilcutt United Methodist Church. She retired from Peyton’s Southeastern after 20 plus years of service. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother James Pankey and wife Sue, sisters Hazel Burris and husband Roy, and Myrtle Lawson and husband Gene; brother in law Herb Godfrey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 64 years Clyde McAlister; children: Sheila Wehrwein (Wayne), Tony McAlister (Shannon), Keith (Donna) McAlister, and Eric (Liesa) McAlister; brother EL Pankey (Louise); sister Ruth Godfrey; grandchildren: Dustin (Sasha) Hall, Matthew Wehrwein, Bradley Wehrwein, Aaron Wehrwein, Ashleigh Napier, Kelby McAlister, Brittany Moore (Dre), Zach McAllister, and Ashley Alverson; great grandchildren: Madison, Carter, Charlie, Leanne, Katelyn, Braylon, Oakley, Tory, and Mya. In addition to these several extended family members, nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Monday November 23, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 2:00pm with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Mildred will be laid to rest at Chilcutt United Methodist Cemetery following the service.
