Mildred Josephine Williams

Mildred Josephine Williams, 92, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 19, 2021. She was born on November 9, 1929 to the late Charles J. Eads Sr. and Mary Moore Eads. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She was also a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mildred, affectionally known as “Nanna” to many, loved taking care of her family. She was a “Homemaker” in the truest form. She was a gifted seamstress and cook, providing for her family throughout her life and supporting them in whatever they wanted to do.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband J.T. Williams; brothers Charles J. Eads Jr., Raymond Eads, and Lloyd Eads; son in law Mark Mullins; daughter in law Maria Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children: Linda Mullins, Marilyn McConnell (Bill), and Thomas Williams (Stephanie); brother John Eads (Faye); grandchildren: Amy Eubanks (Shane), Leslie Cross (Josh), Katie Joves (B.J), Jonathan McConnell (Meredith), Thomas Lennon (Katie), Ryan Lennon, Keegan Cabrera, MyLeah Keith (Max), Kaitie Bolton (Bobby), and Madi Lockhart. In addition to these, she also leaves behind 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held at 1pm on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with visitation prior from 11am until 1pm. She will be laid to rest following her service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Mildred’s family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in appreciation for all of their wonderful care for the past three and a half years. Donations may also be made to a charity of your choice.
