Michael Jay Moore

Michael Jay Moore, 51, of Cleveland, TN passed away on February 4, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1969 to Raymond and Gladys Moore. Michael was a tremendous man of God and was extremely passionate about his job as a truck driver. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School where he played football. Michael was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys L. Whaley Moore; son Michael J. Moore II; grandparents: Laura & Jack Whaley and Montez Queener.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father Raymond T. Moore; children: Kendall Ware, Tyler Moore (Gabrielle) and their children: Jayden Moore, Trinity Moore, Aylicia Moore, and Elijah Moore; Miranda Moore and her children: Kaiden Rodriguez and Karter Rodriguez; siblings: Marcus Moore, Carol R. Moore, and Danielle (Moore) O’Rourke, Tammy Moore, Melanie Moore, Gaynell Moore, Raymond Moore Jr., LaSonya Goldston, and Consuela Dunn. In addition to these he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday February 12, 2021 at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel. A private celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday February 13, 2021 for his family. He will be laid to rest at Fort Hill Cemetery following the service.
