Michael Eugene Owen Jr.

Michael Eugene Owen Jr., 20, of Sweetwater, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Michael was born on January 4, 2002, in Sweetwater, Tennessee to Michael Owen Sr. and Stephanie Owen. Michael enjoyed playing with his children, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Rufus Rose; grandfather, Lyle Owen; grandfather, Jerry Lawrence; great grandmother, Mildred Lee; and great aunt, Joyce Roop.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his Children, Zaryn Owen, and Icie Grace Owen; grandparents, Matthew and Frances Rose; mother, Stephanie Owen; father, Michael Owen Sr.; his sisters, Jaculyn Houser, Macie Owen, Jade Owen, and Talia Owen; brother, Christian Owen; grandmother, Kathy Lawrence; grandmother, Shelia Lawrence; great grandmother, Betty Rose; along with a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Reverend Guinn Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Chestua Campground Community Cemetery.
