Melvin King Sweet

Melvin King Sweet, 80, of Sweetwater, Tennessee passed away on December 31, 2022. Melvin was born on October 23, 1942, in Loudon, Tennessee to the late Ed and Della Sweet.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel May Sweet; daughter, Sandra Harmon; son, Billy Sweet; siblings, Martha Lou McNabb, Marion Sweet, Clifford Sweet, C.L. Sweet, James Sweet, and Steven Sweet; his son in law, Gene Harmon; and two grandsons, Gene Harmon Jr., and Kenny McNabb.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Brenda (Taylor) McNabb, Michael (Martha) Sweet, Ricky (Tiffany) Sweet, and Melvin Sweet; siblings, Betty Ledford, Mary Lee Miller, Sarah McLemore; his grandchildren, Kimberly Rowland, Christy Willett, Nickie Lankford, Amanda Sweet, Aaron Sweet, Ashley Taylor, Chris Taylor; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Rowland, Kinsley Rowland, Michael Sweet, Brooklyn Willett, Peyton Lankford, Elizabeth Lankford, Dannie Smith, and Jacob Smith; special nieces, Renee McNabb, and Mona Dotson; special nephew, Bobby Sweet; and his special friend, Linda McKenzie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
