Melanie Massengale

Melanie Jane Massengale, 68, a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at a local hospital. She was a loving aunt, teacher and friend. Melanie graduated Tyner Highschool where she then went on to get her education degree at UTC and then on to Southern University where she received her master’s in Education. She was a member of River of Life Church. She was employed with the Hamilton County school system for many years having worked at several different Chattanooga area schools where she received many teaching accolades. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John W. Massengale and Margaret H. Massengale; brother, Kenneth Massengale; sister, Marilyn Massengale Vaskette
She is survived by her nephew, John Vaskette, David (Teresa) Vaskette; niece, Cherie (Robert) Vaskette; Special Friends, Sara Clark and Gail Hales; along with several more extended family.
There will be a celebration of life service held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1pm at Cleveland Towers.
