Maxine Smith Gaines born October the 10th 1942 transitioned to her heavenly home to be with our Lord on October 15th 2020 Maxine was a strong woman of faith, she loved God and her family beyond measure. Her passion was telling others about God’s great love, singing, playing music and teaching her passion to anyone who wanted to learn. Maxine never met a stranger and was cherished by everyone who knew her. Maxine worked at Sherwood Corp. for 20 years and retired from Lay Z Boy. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Douglas Gaines, parents Joseph H Smith in Lula Lee Watson Smith brothers Leonard, Boyd, Oliver and Coxey Smith and sister Faye Styf, and sons David and Danny Smith. Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters Cindy Jacobson and LaShawn Peoples, grandchildren Candace (Brandon) Rillima Johnson, Logan Dedman, Elora (Matt) Dedmon Kaiser David and Parker Peoples. Great grandchildren Sarah and Shayla Johnson and Abbigail Kaiser. Brothers Paul Smith, Max (Mary) Smith. Sisters Christine McCabe, Juanita Ballard, Paula (Jim) Bowman, Lula (Bill) Manchester and a whole slew of nieces and nephews. The family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Pentecostal Worship Center. 25,000 Rhea Co Hwy Spring City TN October 24th at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mike Grace officiating.
