Obituary

Maxine Sitzlar Ditmore, 87, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Signature Healthcare in Cleveland, TN. She was born on May 24, 1927 to the late Arthur and Ary Sitzlar. She had been a resident of Cleveland for forty years, moving here from Tellico Plains, TN. She was a longtime member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Maxine enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Signature. Above all things, however, she loved her family and spending time with them.

In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her husband of more than sixty years: McKinley Ditmore; two brothers : Grady Moses of Mt. Vernon, TN and Robert Sitzlar of Mount Vernon, TN; one sister Creola Smith of Etowah, TN.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter Dana Brannon (Don); one granddaughter Teresa Brannon; one great granddaughter Jayla Clark Benefield (Ryan). In addition to these, she leaves behind several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday January 16, 2015 at Ridgeview Baptist Church located at 1501 S. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Junior Burger officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday before the service from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Interment will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Eleazer Cemetery in Tellico Plains, TN at 11:00am with Steve Lunsford, Dennis Brown, Brooky Gray, Ryan Benefield, Larry Moses, and Don Brannon will be serving as pallbearers.
