Obituary

Mary Louise Dube’ passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. She was a passionate animal rights advocate and co-founder of SCMR, the second largest Maltese rescue in the United States. She was a board member of McKamey Animal Center. She was retired from Unum where she served as Director of Purchasing and Outsource Management. Mary worked for Unum for over 30 years. She earned an Associate of Science Degree in Wildlife Management from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Westbrook College in Portland, Maine while working full-time. She was a skilled horticulturist specializing in African Violets and Orchids. She loved to visit Sanibel Island and collect seashells.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lois Roberts. Survivors include Richard, her husband of forty years, her father Will Roberts, four siblings and many aunts, uncles and cousins most of whom reside in Pike County Kentucky.


There will be a Memorial Service on December 10, 2014 at McKamey Animal Center from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with memories shared at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, TN.
