Mary Lee Parker

July 31, 1942 — February 4, 2020

Mary Lee Parker, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020. She was born on July 31, 1942 a daughter of the late Walter & Emma McGill. Mary was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of Philippi Baptist Church for 52 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Betty (Ed) Davis, Ralph “Chick” McGill and Bobby McGill and her mother in law and father in law, Aud and Lela Ruth Parker.
Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years whom she loved and was devoted to Ronnie Parker, two daughters Greta Parker and Lynne (Scott) Cline, one son Greg (Jennifer) Parker, four precious granddaughters who were her world Delaney Cline, Annalee Cline, Kaylee Parker and Kyndal Parker, four sisters Lorene (Edgar) Swafford, Dorothy (Bill) Williamson, Della Rodie, Susie Hall, sister in law Kathy McGill, brother W.L. “Magoo” (Charlotte) McGill, sister in laws Wilma Parker and Alma Parker, brothers in law Dennis and Janis Parker, best friend Nancy Westmoreland, several nieces, nephews and a host of church family and friends.
She will be dearly missed, her prayers and her words of wisdom have carried us thru and we will continue.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, February 6, 202 from 5-8 PM at the Philippi Baptist Church located at 2484 Harrison Pike in Cleveland, TN. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 7, 2020 1:00 PM with Dr. Sammy Hooker and Rev. Nathan Sneed officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Her nephews: Rick Howard, Eddie Howard, Michael Williamson, Travis Hall, Michael McGill, Gary McGill, Ryan McGill, Jody McGill, Randy Swafford, and Chris McGill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons of Philippi Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Philippi Baptist Church Mission department or she would love for you to go to church in her honor.
A special thanks to her friends at church who gave assistance to her when she was able to come to church.
