Mary Katharine Campbell Katie Davis, 80, a resident of Cleveland, TN died Friday morning at her home at the Garden Plaza Residential Center in Cleveland.



Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents French and Cornelia Dulin Campbell, by her sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Frederick G.Elliott of Dallas, Texas, and by her husband, Richard J. Davis, of Cleveland.



She is survived by five children, Richard J. (Rick) Davis, Jr. (Debbie) of Birmingham, Ala., Suzanne (Susie) Degennaro (Loui) of Upper Marlboro, Md., Elizabeth (Liz) Coulter Turpin (Barry) of Cleveland, James F. (Bo) Davis, of Knoxville, and Cornelia Katharine Marcrom (Pat) of Cleveland.



Mrs. Davis is also survived by nine grandchildren, John David Shumpert (Amy), Melissa Suzanne Jenkins, Richard Lee Turpin, Mary Katherine (Katie) Runyan (Bo), Tyler Patrick Marcrom, Mae Margaret Davis, Annie Coulter Davis, Kathryn LeAnn Loveday (Kody), and Joseph (Jody) Martin Davis.



She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Macie Shumpert, Emma Shumpert and Paul Loveday, as well as nieces, Gale Johns of Denton, Texas, Beth McNabb Weinbaum(Joel) Decatur, Al, Gail Davis Overssy of Houston, Tx and nephew, David Elliott of Phoenix, Ariz.



The family is indebted to Mrs. Daviss special caregivers, Joyce Stoker of Charleston, and Dianne Dyer of Cleveland.



Mrs. Davis was born April 23, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN, and spent her formative years in Castleton, Ver., and Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated high school in 1953 and then attended Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C.



She was a devoted wife and mother to her five children. An avid golfer and had special place in her heart for her pets.



Mrs. Davis was a loyal member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Cleveland for more than 50 years.



The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. until1 p.m. at St. Lukes Episcopal Church Parish Hall. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary, with a graveside service to follow at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Tenn.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 320 Broad Street NW, Cleveland, TN 37311, or to Bellfounte Baptist Church, 132 Bellfounte Road, Cleveland, TN 37312.
