Mary Evonne Love

Mary "Evonne" Love, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Tennova Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Evonne was born December 22, 1952, to the late Homer and Eula Godfrey.

She was a lifelong resident of Bradley County, and a 1969 graduate of Bradley Central High School. Evonne retired from Hardwick Clothes with more than 30 years of service.

If you had the privilege of knowing Evonne, you know she was a kind and caring person who always had a smile on her face. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Evonne was a faithful member of Hampton Drive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Evonne is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Cecil Love, and sisters Linda Godfrey and Vickie Sinnamon.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons, Jeff Love, and John (Kim) Love, granddaughters, Kayla (Kevin) Roberts, Madison Love, and Makenzie Love, great-grandson Wilder Roberts, great-granddaughters Sophia and Gabriella Roberts, cousins Wanda Evans and Nora Bennett, special friend Sandra Prock, her faithful companion Missy, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home, with a service to begin in the chapel at 4:00 PM. Pastor Lee Ingram will officiate the service. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Laural Hill Lebanon Valley Cemetary.
