Mary Elsie Lawman

Mary Elsie Lawman, 66, passed away September 23, 2021 in a local hospital after a long chronic illness. She was a member of Elkmont Baptist Church and loved attending services while she was able. Her passions were horse, wildlife, and any outdoor activity.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ava Lowe Lawman (Tab) and Edgar Huell Lawman Jr.; brothers Ted, Sam, and Tom Lawman.

She is survived by her brother David Lawman (Terry) and nieces Emily (Michael) prater, Dr. Hannah Lawman, Audrey Lawman, and Laura (Ben) Burrell, and 6 great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge the special love and care of Carolyn Moore and longtime family member, Debra Willis, both “sisters” to Elsie, and caregiver Sylvia Pitts.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 2, at Elkmont Baptist Church at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
