Mary Ellen Payne

Mary Ellen Payne, 75, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on March 22, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1947 to the late Olaf Mathison and Esther Foote Mathison. Mary moved to Ooltewah from Wimberley, TX. She enjoyed playing piano, quilting, and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Parents: Olaf & Esther (Foote) Mathison; Brothers: Wellington, John and Marius Mathison; Sister: Lavella (Mathison) Bolan; Grandchildren: Caleb James, Ethan Michael and Olivia Marie Payne; Survived by: Husband: Franklin Jay Payne; Sons: Thomas Franklin and Terrance Jay Payne; Brothers: James and Oscar Msthison; Granddaughters: Emily, Sophia, Madeline and Audrey Payne.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday April 2nd at 1pm at Collegedale Memorial Park.
