Obituary
Mary Evelyn Morgan, age 79, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at SkyRidge Medical Center surrounded by her family. Mary Evelyn was born in Blount County, TN and attended school in Friendsville. In 1953, she married Sydney Carl Morgan and committed her life to being a dedicated wife and mother. She was of the Protestant Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Beatrice Baldwin-Simerly; husband, Sydney Morgan; sister, Sally Cornett and brother, James Simerly.
Survivors include her children; Chris Morgan of Cleveland, TN, Cindy Fowler and her husband Billy of Rocky Face, GA, Christopher Morgan and his wife Leslie of Chattanooga, TN; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and special friends, Marilyn Brewer, Lucy Crawford, and Frances Killian.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00pm on Sunday December 28 , 2014 at Union Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Friendsville, TN for a graveside service with Rev. Joseph White officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital located at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
