Mary Catherine Evans

Mary Catherine Evans, 82, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 5, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1935 to the late Walter and Leona Shaffer. Mary was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Abundant Life Church. She loved going to church and reading her bible.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brother Willie Harrison Shaffer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 67 years, James Evans; children Becky Evans and Russell Evans; grandchildren: Candace Evans, Tanisha Evans, Stormy Evans, and James Evans; great grandchildren: Paisley, Sophia, Charlotte, Sienna, Colby, Belle, Christian, Rosie, and Cecilia.
The family will receive friends on Saturday July 7, 2018 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday following visitation with Pastor Gary Nelson officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
