Martha Christine Truesdell Schlueter

May 14, 1935 — March 27, 2016

Martha Christine Truesdell Schlueter, 80, of Cleveland passed away Sunday morning after several months of declining health. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Ruth Truesdell, her nephew Chad Baker and her husband Raymond Dale Schlueter. She is survived by her sister Deborah Baker of Cleveland, her three children Pam Baustian and her husband Mark of Richardson, Texas, Nancy Brown and her husband Ken of Knoxville, Tennessee and Paul Schlueter and his wife Alyson of Savannah, Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-granddaughters and six nieces and nephews.

Martha worked as an administrator and in real estate, but her real passion was service to others. She and her husband were inseperable until Ray's sudden death in 2013. In the early years of their 53-year marriage they were tasked with raising her sister Debby because of their mother's failing health. Later in life Martha and Ray were involved with music in children's ministries and Martha was very involved with her son Paul's ministries to the children and the homeless. She was known for her no-nonsense attitude but was loved and embraced by anyone who took the time to know her as a genuinely caring person.

Arrangements are being handled by the family and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at 11:00 AM in the Unity Sunday School class at the North Cleveland Church of God.
