Marilyn Anita Smith

Marilyn Anita Smith, 72, of Birchwood, TN passed away on January 30, 2016. She was born on July 13, 1943 to the late Woodrow and Beulah Myers. Anita was a lifelong resident of this area. She lived a very simple life and loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her sister Frances Earls and brother Cecil Myers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years, Jackie Smith; daughter Sharon Patricia Davis (Tommy); brothers Hershel Myers (Lucinda) and Robert “Bobby” Myers (Joyce) both of Cleveland, TN; sister Estelle Sink of Germantown, TN and stepsister Eunice Payne; grandchildren Tenisha Willin (Craig) and Cameron Wilson (Cayla); and great grandchildren Avery Willin and Cayson Wilson. In addition to these, she leaves behind a very special friend Fran Ross.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday February 4, 2016 at Birchwood Church of God in Birchwood, TN with pastor Steve Miller and pastor Farley Branham officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at the church. Interment will follow the service in McInturff Cemetery on Thursday.
