Malcolm Ivan Bettis, Jr

Malcolm Bettis, Jr., “Jr.”, 64, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019. He proudly served in the United States Army and in past years was a small engine plane pilot. He was an avid Harley Davidson bike rider.

Jr. was preceded in death by his mom, Lillie Mae Bettis; his parents, Louise and Leon Ward; a son, Kevin Bettis; and a grandson, Raymond McCann.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn Bettis; a son, Brian Bettis (Cheryl); two daughters, Kelly McCann (Jason) and Karen Lawson; brothers, Delon Ward and Terry Ward; sisters, Deborah Robertson and Sherry Jenkins; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland from 5pm to 8pm Monday, July 29, 2019. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11am with Kevin Teague officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah.
