Lucinda "Cindy" Divel

Lucinda “Cindy” Divel, 63, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at a local hospital. Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren. She was very fond of bluegrass music, singing, and most recently enjoyed her time booking artists for Cleveland Cowboy Jubilee. She was a compassionate person that gave generously to others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Spencer Young, Sr. and Vivian Lorraine Young.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Roger Divel; son, Corey (Jessica) Divel; brother, Arnold S. Young, Jr; grandchildren, Olivia, Christian, Vivian, and Caroline, as well as many other extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 12:00 until 2:00p.m. at North Cleveland Church of God in the Dixon Chapel. A celebration of Cindy’s life will follow at 2:00p.m. with Dr. Mark Williams officiating. Interment will be held after the service at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Pastor Gene Dasher officiating. Kevin Williams, Carl Towns, Jackie Parris, Jerry Lance, Dale Sneed, and Carl Howard will be serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Cindy’s memory to the Cindy Divel Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tennessee Christian Preparatory School.
