Lowell Paul Kirk

Lowell Paul Kirk, age 85, a long time resident of Cleveland, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 27.2022.

Mr. Kirk was born January 23, 1937 in Constableville, NY to the late Joseph and Faye Freeman Kirk.

After completing a four-year state apprenticeship, he was employed for ten years as a die maker for General Motors, and in the same capacity for 26 years for Ford Motor Company. At retirement in 1992, he moved to Tennessee.

A devoted Christian, Mr. Kirk was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an accomplished woodworker. He shared a love of gardening, bird watching and jigsaw puzzles with his second wife.

In addition to his parents, Mr Kirk was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Lois Stedman Kirk, by his son Keith Kirk, his sister Virginia Kirk, and brothers Ivey and Larry Kirk. He is survived by his beloved second wife of 25 years, Phyllis P. Terry Kirk, and by a daughter Kelly Kirk,, and two step sons, Lance Terry (Lori) and Christopher Terry (Sandi). He is survived also by two granddaughters, Kisha Lubischer and Kyla Gould, and by seven Terry step grandchildren, whom he loved as his own—Jake, Ezra, Noah, Joshua, Samuel, Nicole and Abigail. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and a brother Gary Kirk (Mary Ann).

There will be no funeral. Pastor Steve Smartt will conduct a private graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Benton.

The family is blessed to have Companion Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
