On Saturday April 8th 2017, Lowell McAllister age 79, peacefully left earth for his return trip home surrounded by his family and friends. Low, also known as Mr. Mac or Grand-daddy, was always fun loving and loved by all who met him. He took great pleasure in square dancing and line dancing, golfing, gardening, UT football, antique cars, trips to the ocean, boating, and fishing. He is remembered as being able to “fix anything”. His great affinity and love for “the river” was only surpassed by his love for God, his wife Eunice, and his family.

Lowell later moved to Cleveland TN in 1965 and began working as a Chemical Supervisor for Olin Chemicals. He later transferred with Olin to manage their environmental treatment plant in Saltville VA. He continued his work for Olin for 37 years before retirement.
Lowell is known by his friends and co-workers as having a gentle spirit and for showing kindness to those around him. True to character, he received an achievement award from the Red Cross for the amount of blood he had donated over the years.
Lowell was a deacon and founding member of Northside Presbyterian Church in Cleveland. He lived a life that glorified God. He loved all of Gods creation and valued being in nature. He enjoyed pausing for sunsets on the river. Low found beauty in every day until the very end of his wonderful journey on earth.
In his last years, his mobility was affected by Parkinson's Disease but Lowell still enjoyed being a Grand- daddy, caring for plants, piddling outside and pulling the occasional weed, reading Facebook, watching sports, and eating desserts but not vegetables.
