Loretta Faye Jones

Loretta Faye Jones, 73, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away, April 23, 2023. She was born September 4, 1949, and of the Christian faith. She was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. Loretta served as the Children’s Choir Director for many years, also was an assistant with the Youth Group. She loved the Lord and her family with her whole heart, never holding back. World Class Wife, Mother and Grammy, competitive to the core. She loved the water, either boating at the lake or lying on a beach somewhere, even fishing if she could get someone to bait the hook.

A natural Mother to not only her children but all children, especially those she felt needed a little extra attention. Her house was always filled with laughter, fun and adventure. She loved to travel, especially to exotic locations. Loretta worked and Owned MRK Industrial Services at Resolute Forest Products for more than 30 years.

Preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents, Bascon Thomas and Ellave Dixon; maternal Grandparents, John Samuel and Mary Anna Howard; father, Wayne Anderson Dixon and brother, Randall Dixon.

Survived by her mother, Adah Bess Dixon; husband, Alan Jones; daughter, Jill Jones; Sons, Justin Jones and Hunter Jones; Grandson, Tristan Jones; sister, Sandra Shourd; brother, Alan Dixon (Kelly); Nieces and nephews, Jane (Ivan) McNelly, Gary Dixon, David (Patricia) Dixon, Matt Shourd, Brandon Shourd, Kristi Dixon and Whitney Dixon; great-nephews, Ethan McNelly, Adam Dixon, Bradley Dixon, Derrick Dixon; and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Friday, April 28, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home. Pastor Judson Kirkpatrick, officiating. Burial will be held at Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, after the service.
