Lloyd William Flessner

Lloyd William Flessner died on September 1, 2021, in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his family by his side. The oldest son of William and Martha Flessner, he was born in Cullom, Illinois on July 9, 1925. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School and attended Michigan State University. He wed Winifred Beeman of Lansing, Michigan on October 6, 1925; they were married for over 70 years.
After a long career in Michigan, he retired in 1989 and moved to Lakeland, Florida. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lakeland and he and his wife traveled extensively and volunteered frequently.
He is survived by his wife Winnie Flessner; sons Bruce (Melanie) Flessner and David (Vicky) Flessner; five grandchildren Lauren Aerni-Flessner, Elisha Catchings , Robert Flessner, Brandon Flessner and Michael Flessner, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11 at Hixson United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.
