Lillie Eula Brown "Boots" Turner

Lillie Eula Brown “Boots” Turner, age 85, passed away Monday morning at Bradley Healthcare after battling Alzheimer’s disease for 18 years. She was a Christian and was an active member of Cleveland Community Chapel until her health began to decline. She loved singing and often sang solos. Her favorite song was “On the Wings of a Dove.” She loved to cook, and her Coconut Cake was absolutely delicious. She loved holidays and family gatherings. She was a wonderful seamstress and quilted numerous quilts over the years. She always wore an infectious smile wherever she went. She will be missed by her family and anyone that had the opportunity to know her.

She was the daughter of the late Bill and Annie Prince Beshears. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Ted Brown, in March 1993; second husband, Ken, in 2000; two brothers, J.L. and Lonnie Beshears; and sister, Willie Scott.

She is survived by her two daughters, Wilma (Ronnie) Smith of Charleston and Kathey Jenkins and companion, Dale Atnip, of Cleveland; three sons, Mike (Tina) Brown, Max (Teresa) Brown and Billy Joe (Carolyn) Brown all of Charleston; three brothers, Franklin (Stoke) Beshears of Indiana, Hugh “Pap” Beshears and companion, Wanda Dillard, of Cleveland and Paul “John” (Sandy) Beshears of Cleveland; six granddaughters, Misty (Chris) Taylor, Holley (Dusty) Davis, Crystal Jenkins and companion, Billy Pilkey, Joyce Brown and companion, Jacob Bandy, Ashley (Heather) Brown and Michaelee Brown; four grandsons, Jeff (Valarie) Padgett, Chris (Raquel) Brown, Matt Jenkins and James Brown and companion, Selena Wilson; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow visitation at 7:00PM with Pastor Tazz Reid officiating. A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 11:00AM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
