Lenzy L Evans, 83, a resident of McDonald, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at a local hospital. He is the Pastor of Fame Church of God, Eupora, MS, along with being an ordained Bishop in the Church of God, Cleveland TN. Lenzy has more than 61 years of service in ministry, which he started after graduating Lee University. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force before starting his ministry. He was a devoted husband, loving father, a rugged outdoorsman, a fiery evangelist, a caring pastor, and a mentor to many young ministers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lenard Clabe and Lena Mae Evans; brothers, Hulon Evans, Bedford Evans, Flodale Evans, and L.C. Evans; sisters, Vena Mae Griffin and Roxie Bishop.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Linda Evans; sons, Leonard LeRay Evans and Larry (Tiffany) Evans; grandchildren, Danielle and Lydia Evans; siblings, Faye Williams, Mary Ida Gill, and W.L. Evans; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family
The Family will receive friends Friday, March 30, 2018 from 2-4pm at South Cleveland Church of God with a service being held at 4pm. The family will hold a private graveside burial at a later date.
